The Fast and the Furious has it all, fast cars, street racing, crime, and romance all building to an incredible climax.
The background is of rival gangs fighting it out in an effort to establish their street credibility and power. Enter, the cop Brian Spindler (Paul Walker) who is out to solve numerable big-rig hijackings and robberies. Our cop wins the respect of Dominic (Dom) Toretto (Vin Diesel) one of the gang leaders, however not all of the gang members accept Brian into the fold. Vince (Matt Schultz) suspects all is not as it seems, and remain suspicious Brian's intentions. Brian galls Vince even more when he becomes attracted to Mia (Jordana Brewster) and his feelings are returned.
Loyalties and friendships complicate the situation as the hijackings continue. Brian comes under increasing pressure from his superiors to find out who is behind these activities before the truckies take matters into their own hands.
The film has been edited to give maximum impact to the street cars and the racing sequences. Action packed hijacking footage adds another dimension to a movie full of high octane action.
