Russell Ingall

by Phillip Whelan

Often called the "Enforcer", Ingall came into V8 Supercar racing like a tornado. Forceful, tough and sometimes frantic Ingall always seems to be able to pass where others dare not.

His career started in karts at the age of 12, but he really learned his race craft overseas.

While he was competing in the Formula Ford German and Japanese Formula Three, someone in Australia was watching.

Ingall joined the Castrol Racing Team in 1995, playing a vital role in the last to first victory with Larry Perkins at Bathurst. Bathurst 1997 was again a win for the Perkins / Ingall Castrol Racing Team combination.
